Ahmad Qusyairi Terkait Adab dalam Kitab Ar-Risalah Al-Lasimiah fi Adabi Al-Akli wa Al-Syurbi Al-Mardliyah https://mahadalyjakarta.com/ejournal/index.php/TARIKHUNA/article/view/87
The concept of adab (Islamic ethics and etiquette) constitutes a foundational element in Islamic thought, deeply embedded in both theological and practical dimensions of Muslim life. Central to this moral framework is the emulation of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as the ideal exemplar of ethical conduct. In an effort to transmit these values to a broader audience, scholars throughout Islamic history have translated prophetic teachings into accessible moral guidelines. One such effort is found in the manuscript Ar-Risalah al-Lasimiyyah fī Ādāb al-Akli wa al-Shurbi al-Mardhiyyah by KH Ahmad Qusyairi bin KH Muhammad Shiddiq, a 20th-century scholar from Sumbergirang, Lasem, Central Java. This study aims to investigate the ethical dimensions articulated in the manuscript, with particular attention to how everyday actions—such as eating and drinking—are framed as acts of moral and spiritual discipline. Through a qualitative, text-based analysis employing a descriptive-analytical method and supported by a literature review, the study reveals how traditional Islamic ethical texts retain significant relevance in addressing contemporary moral challenges. The findings suggest that such manuscripts offer not only historical insight but also normative resources for moral formation in the present context, particularly amid growing concerns over ethical decline in modern society.

Keywords: Islamic ethics, adab, KH Ahmad Qusyairi, classical manuscript, ethical guidance
Muhammad Jirjis Fahmy Zamzamy Hak Cipta (c) 2025 TARIKHUNA: JURNAL SEJARAH PERADABAN ISLAM https://mahadalyjakarta.com/ejournal/index.php/TARIKHUNA/article/view/87 Wed, 25 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Analisis Pemikiran Raden Ajeng Kartini Perspektif Sosio-Religi (1889-1904 M) https://mahadalyjakarta.com/ejournal/index.php/TARIKHUNA/article/view/84
Abstract

Raden Ajeng Kartini, commonly known as R.A. Kartini, was a prominent figure whose visionary thinking set her apart as a pioneer in advocating for women's rights and intellectual freedom. Her progressive views are reflected in both her tangible actions and her written expressions, which have been widely studied and analyzed. One of the core themes she frequently addressed was the socio-religious dimension, which forms the primary focus of this paper. This study seeks to explore the socio-religious discourse of the 19th century through an analytical examination of Kartini's thoughts, based on various available sources. The research utilizes data derived from books, academic journals, and other relevant scientific literature, encompassing both primary and secondary sources. Among the primary sources employed are Letters of a Javanese Princess and Habis Gelap Terbitlah Terang by Empat Saudara. A qualitative method is employed in this study, presented in a narrative-descriptive format. The researcher conveys the chronological development of the subject matter and provides an in-depth analysis of the events and ideas discussed. From a methodological perspective, this study is categorized as historical research using a synchronic approach—analyzing historical events from multiple dimensions and perspectives. Data collection is conducted through library research, allowing for a comprehensive review of relevant literature.

Keywords: Kartini, Thought, Socio-Religious, 19th Century
Ammar Rizkillah Hak Cipta (c) 2025 TARIKHUNA: JURNAL SEJARAH PERADABAN ISLAM https://mahadalyjakarta.com/ejournal/index.php/TARIKHUNA/article/view/84 Wed, 25 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Masjid Agung Banten: Jejak Akulturasi Budaya dan Objek Wisata Religi https://mahadalyjakarta.com/ejournal/index.php/TARIKHUNA/article/view/83
This research aims to examine the representation of cultural acculturation in the architecture of the Great Mosque of Banten and the surrounding buildings, which reflect the fusion of various cultures, such as Islam, Hinduism, Java, China, and Europe. The method used is the historical research method, which includes the stages of heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The results showed that the Great Mosque of Banten not only functioned as a center for the spread of Islam, but also as a symbol of the power of the Banten Sultanate. Its architecture reflects the fusion of cultures across civilizations, which can be seen through elements such as the European-style tower that resembles a lighthouse, the multilevel roof structure typical of traditional Javanese architecture, and ornaments that show Chinese and Hindu influences. In addition to its religious function, the presence of the tombs of the Banten Sultans in the mosque complex also makes this place a center of pilgrimage activities and religious tourism destinations. This contributes to the social and economic dynamics of the local community. Thus, it can be concluded that the Great Mosque of Banten is a historical manifestation of cultural and religious acculturation in the context of Nusantara Islamic architecture.

Keywords: Banten Sultanate, Great Mosque of Banten, cultural acculturation, Pilgrimage.
Rini Juliawati, Rido Ahmad Pramuja, Syaripatu Da’imah, Arsiadi, Abd Rahman Hamid, Agus Mahfuddin Setiawan Hak Cipta (c) 2025 TARIKHUNA: JURNAL SEJARAH PERADABAN ISLAM https://mahadalyjakarta.com/ejournal/index.php/TARIKHUNA/article/view/83 Wed, 25 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0700
